Membership in our organization offers many benefits, including the opportunity to build lasting professional relationships and friendships with colleagues across the region. Our annual meeting provides a more intimate and collegial setting than larger national conferences, making it easy to connect with peers, mentors, and leaders in the field. Even ASCRS leadership regularly attends and enjoys the opportunity to engage with members in a relaxed, accessible environment.
Who Can Join?
Membership is open to more than just colon and rectal surgeons. Many of our members are general surgeons with a strong interest in colorectal surgery. We also welcome members from far beyond the Northwest region, with representation from across the United States and Canada. Our diverse membership brings together surgeons from a wide range of backgrounds, practice settings, and geographic locations.
How Can You Join?
To join, please complete the application using the link below. The Northwest Society values active member participation and encourages engagement through meeting attendance, presentations, panel discussions, and other contributions. Members are expected to attend a meeting at least once every 2–3 years and are encouraged to share their expertise by presenting research, giving talks, or participating in panel sessions.
